Stout month is here!!! Old 121 has just released their Golden Stout. We have the Super Bowl and Valentines Day upon us. Don’t forget about your White Elephant brew for March, if you haven’t started yet now is the time. While we may not be basing this month's meeting around stouts, we’re pretty close.

Porters! This month we will be tasting American and English Porters.
We’ll taste a couple popular commercial American Porters. For English Porters, we’ll taste 3-4 examples, 2 homebrews and 1-2 commercial examples. The homebrews were brewed similarly but with slight differences to the hops and specialty malts. These recipes will be provided.
As we taste, BJCP style guidelines will be provided, along with a BJCP score sheet to help guide us as we taste.
Note - the February meeting is a paid event. It is free for dues paid members, or $5 if you haven’t paid dues yet.

Fermentation Insurance? Nothing feels worse than a batch of beer that doesn’t ferment? It’s great to have dry yeast on hand to pitch when a fermentation doesn’t take off after a couple days.
Carboy haulers. They’re amazing! They’ll help stop accidents, especially with glass carboys that are quite heavy. They’ll make a world of difference going up and down stairs and traveling longer distances.
Bottling over the dishwasher. Open up the lid and bottle over this, so that any drips fall onto the inside of the dishwasher lid.
